Biodiesel

Biodiesel is a fuel that has much the same characteristics as normal diesel oil, but as opposed to diesel it is not derived from petroleum but from vegetable oils or animal fat. Generally, vegetable oils are used such as sunflower oil, soy oil, rape oil or palm oil. Used oils may be used likewise very well indeed. To produce biodiesel from these oils, they are subjected to a chemical reaction, which is called transesterification. It is a chemical reaction that makes the glycerol present in the oil to be substituted by methanol, using a lye as a catalyst. Its result is a methyl ester. One of its examples is rape methyl ester (RME). A residue forms due to transesterification, called glycerine. This can be applied in varius ways, one can think of such things as making soap.

Biodiesel's plus-points are obvious it is biodegradable, it decreases soot-emission with +/-50%, it decreases emission of hydrocarbons and it is CO2-neutral.

In addition to these environmental plus-points, it is safe indeed (its flashpint is+/-170C) and it is easy to mix with fossil diesel.

As a result of a through analysis of the problems to do with transferring this liquid, PIUSI has developed a reliable dispensing group using highly compatible components.
The complete group has been designed to be moved and connected to a new full container.
An accurate meter will visualize the quantity dispensed for a correct refilling of the truck.
The group is completed with an automatic nozzle, and a flexible delivery hose, for easy dispensing operations.

PORTABLE PRESS FILTER FOR DIESEL AND BIODIESEL (65 L/min.)

The filter presses have a wide range of applications in the filtering and dehydration of fuel, as well as hydraulic, industrial, lubricating and transformer oils.

The equipment is comprised of a base with two wheels for mobility, motor/gear pump, filter press and control panel.

The fuel to be filtered id drawn by the gear pump through the suction hose and pre-filter and send to the filter press. The unfiltered oil that escapes from the filter

plates is reabsorbed by the pump through the automatic return valve. The filtered and decontaminated oil is pumped out through the discharge hose to its destination.
